"A las Gaviotas del Puerto les Gusta Comer Pescado Fresco" (The Seagulls at the Harbor Like to Eat Fresh Fish) is a piece composed for the 2025 Chamber Music Conference of the East, which took place at Colgate University during the summer. The piece was inspired by the various seagull and bird sounds I hear when visiting Peruvian harbors along the Pacific coastline. That said, there are seagulls everywhere—and they all kind of sound the same… I think.
